The selection was conducted through a rigorous and structured process comprising self-nomination, shortlisting, and final evaluation through a Book Talk presentation.
Selection Process
- Call for Self-Nomination
Students were invited to self-nominate for the award by submitting a completed application form.
- Application Review and Shortlisting
A panel of evaluators reviewed all submitted applications and shortlisted five candidates based on the following criteria:
- Quantity and diversity of reading
- Depth of reflection and critical engagement
- Contribution to institutional reading culture
- Overall intellectual impact and authenticity
- Final Evaluation: Book Talk
The five shortlisted candidates participated in a Book Talk presentation, which served as the final stage of evaluation. Each candidate delivered a 15-minute presentation on a selected book, followed by a 5-minute question-and-answer session with the panel.
The presentations were assessed by a panel of three evaluators using the following criteria:
- Understanding of the book
- Presentation skills
- Organization and structure
- Creativity and engagement
- Personal response
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Time management
- Final Selection
The candidate who achieved the highest overall score, as determined and approved by the evaluation panel, was declared the winner.
